We decided to move on as some wind was forecast and we needed to find a kite friendly beach. Having checked park4night we found a couple of prospective options. We reluctantly moved on as we’d got quite settled in Albufeira, I’d walked into the town to pick up groceries and post a parcel home at the post office and we’d had a couple of lovely meals at restaurants. I felt in a very safe space despite the daily doom and gloom of the news of COVID cases rising again across Europe and talk of more lockdowns and curfews.
So we headed off on Friday lunchtime so that we’d be somewhere new for the weekend. Filling up with water and emptying waste on the way.
We didn’t go far, about 40min towards Spain, and WOW what a place, we really couldn’t get closer to the sea unless we were on a ferry? and when we arrived it was just about windy enough for Paul to kitesurf, he was out on the waves like a shot. Happy Friday ?
This place really is perfect and we can’t find a reason to move on. We feel we should as we are, after all, on a road trip. But we are also amid a global pandemic. As winter sets in across Europe and news of lockdowns across the Uk, France, Spain and Portugal we think we are better off staying put
